01 / Your questions
Planning your home
Can I automate an existing home?
Yes. Start with the rooms and routines that matter most. Wiring, available power, curtain tracks and device compatibility determine what can be added and whether any electrical work is needed.
When should automation be planned for a new home?
Ideally, before wiring and interior finishes are finalized. Early planning helps coordinate switch positions, curtain power, control-panel locations and selected devices with your architect, electrician and interior designer.
Can I begin with one room and expand later?
Yes. We can plan a first room with future expansion in mind. Later additions depend on wiring, network coverage and compatibility, so share your longer-term plans at the beginning.
How much does smart home installation cost in Karachi?
The cost depends on your rooms, wiring, devices and installation scope. Share your plans and project stage to request a tailored quote. There is no single package price that suits every home.
02 / Your questions
Everyday control
What can smart home automation control?
Lighting, curtains, selected climate equipment and sensors can work together through switches, a dashboard and routines. VAutomate plans the controls around your rooms, daily habits and selected hardware.
Can I still use wall switches?
Yes. The design can include physical wall controls alongside dashboard access and routines. We plan the right controls for each room so everyday actions remain familiar.
Can my existing curtains be automated?
We first check the track, curtain weight, available power and installation space. Some setups can be adapted; others need a compatible motorized track. The final approach depends on your existing installation.
03 / Your questions
Internet, power & subscriptions
Will my smart home work without internet?
Selected local devices and locally configured routines can work without internet. Remote access, cloud-only devices and some voice services need a connection. We discuss these dependencies when designing the system.
What happens during a power outage?
Powered equipment needs electricity. Backup behavior depends on the selected devices and your home’s backup-power arrangement. We discuss essential controls and recovery behavior during planning rather than promising every device will keep running.
Is a monthly subscription required?
Core local control can be designed without a mandatory monthly platform subscription. Optional cloud services and third-party integrations may have separate charges, depending on the selected equipment and setup.
